Sunday School Sunday School (K-Adult) is held from early September to mid May at 9:30 AM on Sundays. "God Squad" for youth (Grades 1- 5) Meets twice per month Junior Youth Group for youth Grades 6-8. Meets two Sundays a month. Senior Youth Group for youth grades 9-12. Meets two Sundays per month. Youth Confirmation Eighth and ninth grade students are welcome to participate. Meets Tuesdays during the school year, 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Contact the church office (718) 981-3151. Vacation Bible School A one-week summer program of Bible stories, crafts, recreation and singing, for children 4 years old through sixth grade. Contact the church office (718) 981-3151. Zion Zummer Camp Meets four weeks in July, four year olds through second grade. Contact pre-school office (718) 981-3623 Sunday Morning Bible Study An adult bible study during the Sunday school hour at 9:30 AM, between worship services. The study meets in the "fireside room." These sessions are scheduled at various times through-out the year and are held on Sundays at 9:30 AM (check with the Church Office). Bible Study Group Zion has a strong tradition of Bible studies. Currently a group meets on the first Tuesday or each month at 1 PM, studying the parables with Pastor Betsy. New Member Class The pastor teaches a course, exploring the basics of biblical and church doctrine. The class is designed for those wishing to become members or for those wanting to review what Christians believe. Open dialogue, questions and conversation are encouraged. Men's Breakfast Group Every Wednesday (except July & August) the men of the congregation meet at 8:30 AM for a full breakfast, followed by Bible study. No reservations are necessary. Just come.Ladies Aid A social group of women who support various ministries of the church. Meets on the fourth Tuesday or each month, 1:30 PM. ZARP Zion Association of Retired Persons Meets the second Tuesday of the month (except July & August) at 11 AM. Contact Bunny Lewand (718) 761-8686. Choir Our choir (Zion Singing!) sings at Worship, (September thru mid June), as well as several special events through out the year. They hold practice on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM and Sunday mornings at 10:10-10:35 AM.We also have a Bell Choir (Zion Ringing!), rehearsing on Wednesdays at 8 PM.
